Dr. Acevedo is a bilingual School Psychologist and Licensed Educational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience, during which she has conducted over 500 psychoeducational assessments and developed numerous successful intervention programs.
In her career, she has had the privilege of serving children across diverse educational settings, including charter schools, traditional school districts, and non-public schools. Her experience encompasses working with students who have a wide range of learning differences, from mild to severe learning disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and ADHD. Additionally, she has supported children facing challenges such as English Language acquisition, complex trauma, children with foster care and adoption backgrounds, and many other environmental barriers to learning. Her focus has always been on understanding the 'whole child' – their individual needs, strengths, and challenges – and collaborating with schools to develop and implement effective interventions that promote their academic success and overall well-being.
Dr. Acevedo leads a highly qualified team of psychologists and therapists with backgrounds in law, higher education, special education, and marriage and family therapy. Therefore, PsychED Evaluations is dedicated to providing the highest level of professionalism and helping schools achieve improved student learning, increased IEP compliance, and an enhanced school climate.
